Microsoft unveiled new social networking platform ‘Socl’
Microsoft has unveiled new social networking platform ‘Socl‘, which is basically integrated with its Bing search engine. The main reason to reveal the new social network site is to take on the popularity of Google+ and Facebook.
Microsoft’s Social Network, Socl comes with much like the Google+’s Hangout feature, a video party feature, complete with chat and Watch YouTube video together. But, here users can’t interact privately with other users on socl, because it doesn’t include private messaging, groups, at-replies services.
Socl is mostly built on HTML5, so will not create site slowdown problem in Chrome or Firefox while video partying, searching, or tagging.
Socl interface is divided into three sections, left sections for basic navigation, middle section for news feed and updates, while right side is dedicated for send invitation and video conferencing.
The project is currently on testing stage at Microsoft and it will go live after completion.
